The Ekiti State University(EKSU), has completed preparations for her second semester part-time examination for all candidates of the 2010/2011 academic session.

The exercise according to  EKSU has been scheduled to begin on the 11th of march, 2013.

5 Student Expel For **** In Ekiti  University Campus. For failing to control their libido, five students of the Ekiti State University (EKSU) have been expelled after a disciplinary committee found them culpable in a case of **** on the campus. 

The institution in a statement Sunday in Ado Ekiti by the Deputy Registrar, Information and Public Relations of the University, Ajibade Olubunmi, announced the students’ expulsion.

But besides losing their studentship, the five expelled students will also be put on trial, as they have been dragged before the courts for the crime.

The students were arrested on March 7, through the concerted efforts of EKSU security men, the police and youths from Iworoko Ekiti, a neighbouring town, and were subsequently made to face the disciplinary committee headed by Professor W. O. Adebayo that tried them and found them guilty.

The expelled students are: Babalola Adedotun Kolawole, a 300 Level Psychology student; Omoteye Olalekan Olamide, a 300 Level Psychology student; Bamigboye Biola Moshood, a Pre-degree Social Science student; and Adekunle Lateef Omogbemileke, a 300 Level Accounting student.

However, the statement added that Omogbemileke and another suspect, Okube Gabriel Ogunmoroti, were still at large.

The Dean of Students Affairs, Professor I G. Adanlawo, in the statement, further charged parents to monitor their children closely so that they would not join bad groups.

Meanwhile, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Patrick Oladipo Aina, has warned students of the institution against getting involved in cultism, examination malpractices and other social vices at the expense of their studies and moral probity.

He gave the warning during the matriculation of students of EKSU studying under an affiliate programme with Adeniran Ogunsaya College of Education, Ijanikin, Lagos, on March 9.

The vice-chancellor, who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olugbenga Aribisala, warned that under no circumstances should any of the students be involved in examination malpractice, cultism, drug abuse and other anti-social behaviours that could jeopardise their study.

This is to direct all students of Ekiti State University(EKSU) including the Part-time Programme and Science Laboratory Technology Students that EKSU mid-semester break has begins. Consequently,all academic activities on campus have been suspended with immediate effect

Parents, Guardians and all stake holders should note that the break whichwill end on Monday, 20th May 2013 will afford students who are indebted to the University to pay their fees and charges fully.

Candidates in the last UTME who choosed the Ekiti State University, EKSU for the 2013/2014 JAMB UTME should be informed about EKSU UTME Cut-off Mark, Post-UTME Cut-Off Mark & other Admission Requirements.

UTME, Post-UTME Cut-Off Marks & Admissions Requirements For 2013/2014 Session?
1. EKSU Requirement for Admission via UTME (100 level)

2. Minimum of Credit passes in Five (5) subjects including English Language at the SSCE, GCE O’Level and any other equivalent examinations at not more than two sittings.

3. UTME score of at least 200 In All Programmes.

4. Candidates must make EKSU as their 1st and/or 2nd choice to qualify to write the Post-UTME Screening Test.

5. Final selection will be based on the candidate’s average scores from the UTME and Post-UTME screening Tests.

EKSU Admission Requirement through Direct Entry (200 Level)
1. Minimum of credit passes in five (5) subjects including English Language at SSCE, GCE O’Level or equivalent qualification at not more than two sittings.

2. Must possess an HND, OND or NCE in the relevant programme to be undertaken in EKSU.

3. An acceptable score is prescribed for admission at the Direct Entry Screening Exercise.

4. Final selection is a combination of candidate’s certificates and the direct entry screening result.

Note:-EKSU Admission is strictly on merit.

We have just been informed that the 2013/2014 Post UTME screening exercise of Ekiti State University has been postponed and has been re- scheduled to take place between Friday, 26th and Monday, 29th July, 2013.

The Screening was before now scheduled to hold on the 22nd of July, to 29th July, 2013. According to the report, the school management of Ekiti State University modified the dates to enable all interested candidates to participate in the computer based screening exercise.

Also all candidates should take note that the closing date for the EKSU 2021/2022 PUTME registration has been extended until Wednesday, 24th July, 2013 instead of Friday, 19th July, 2013.

All the Candidates who made them their choice are to check the date and time for their screening from the University’s website beginning from Thursday, 25th July, 2013. FOR THOSE WHO ARE YET TO APPLY,
