West Ham have made an approach to former Italy coach Cesare Prandelli as they look to
replace the departed Sam Allardyce.
The Hammers had been on the tail of current Napoli coach Rafael Benitez, but he recently
knocked the Premier League side back and appears set to take over at Real Madrid.
West Ham continue to be keen on Ajax coach Frank de Boer, but now, according to Italian daily
Gazzetta dello Sport, they have made contact with Prandelli to enquire about his availability.
Prandelli, who last coached Turkish giants Galatasaray, is keen on the prospect of embarking
upon an adventure in the Premier League.
West Ham are believed to prefer Ajax boss De Boer, but it is not clear whether the Dutchman
will quit the Amsterdam ArenA.
De Boer led Ajax to four consecutive Eredivisie titles, but missed out on a fifth this season
when PSV Eindhoven captured the crown.
He is believed to be keen to stay put to try and wrest the title back from PSV.
