Paul Scholes has urged Louis van Gaal to make a move for Paris Saint-Germain
forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the last eight days of the transfer window.
The Red Devils have scored just two goals in their first three Premier League
games and looked toothless in attack against a resolute Newcastle United side on
Saturday.
Memphis Depay has been the only arrival with attacking intent this summer, while
the Red Devils have lost Radamel Falcao, Robin van Persie, Nani and Angel Di
Maria.
And Scholes, who questioned Louis van Gaal after the game, says the Red Devils
should take a punt on Paris Saint-Germain forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Centre forward is a priority for me. It just doesn’t look like there’s enough goals
in the team at the minute.
‘They’ve lost two top class centre forwards in Falcao and Van Persie. You wonder
if they could take a chance on Zlatan Ibrahimovic for a year? Maybe [he could] do
something in the Robin van Persie mould.’
