An Aleksandar Kolarov free-kick and an Edin Dzeko brace, was enough, as a much changed Manchester City defeated Leicester City 3-1, to qualify for the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup.
Kolarov, who came in at left-back curled a brilliant free-kick into the top corner, as City started brightly. Dzeko added a second goal, shortly before half time.
The former Wolfsburg striker grabbed his brace in the second period, before Leicester provided a little scare, after Lloyd Dyer pulled a goal back for the Championship side, beating Joe Hart at the near post.
