Jurgen Klopp thinks Liverpool can still get better after his side drubbed
Barcelona 4-0 in a friendly at Wembley.
Liverpool collided with Barcelona in an International Champions Cup game in
front of a packed Wembley and the Reds did not disappoint Klopp with their
performance.
The Reds went ahead on the 15 minute mark when Sadio Mane scored his first
goal for the club, while then Jordan Henderson added a second in the 47th
minute.
Divock Origi struck a minute later to leave Barcelona reeling, while an injury time
Marko Grujic goal put the icing on the cake for Liverpool as the Catalan giants
were sent packing.
Klopp was delighted with his side's performance, but feels there is still a little
room for improvement.
"I could be sitting here today when we had lost 4-0. Life would have not been that
nice as it is at the moment, but [it would be] useful too because of the things you
can learn" , he told his post match press conference.
"But it was Barca, it was a friendly and a lot of things can happen.
"If they start playing then it’s pretty difficult to defend. But of course when you win
4-0 you have to use it" , Klopp continued.
"It was wonderful today, special – 90,000 people here for a friendly game and they
could enjoy the game.
"I would say 98 per cent of what happened today was really great."
Liverpool have one friendly remaining this summer, tomorrow against German
outfit Mainz, while they start their Premier League campaign away at Arsenal
next Sunday.
