Stanford Graduate School of Business is offering Stanford Africa MBA Fellowship Program in USA. The students of Africa are eligible to apply for Stanford Africa MBA Fellowship. The two years fellowship support eight African citizens with financial need of tuition and associated fees (approximately US$140,000) and also contributes to room, board, and other living expenses. After the completion of MBA fellowship program fellows are required to work in Africa for at least two years, otherwise you would be required to repay the Stanford Africa MBA Fellowship. Selection criteria for fellowship is earning admission to the Stanford MBA Program, intellectual vitality, demonstrated leadership potential, and personal qualities and contributions.

Study Subject(s): The fellowship is provided to study in Business administration at Stanford Graduate School of Business in USA.

Course Level: This fellowship is for pursuing Masters-MBA degree level at Stanford Graduate School of Business in USA..

Eligibility: -Applicant must be a citizen of an African country. Dual citizens are eligible for the fellowship as long as one citizenship belongs to an African nation.

-Permanent residents of an African country are not eligible at this time.

-Applicant must have completed, or be in the final year of completing, your university studies.

-If you studied at an undergraduate or graduate institution in Africa, we especially encourage you to consider applying for the Stanford Africa MBA Fellowship Program.

-Citizens of countries in Africa who studied in countries outside of Africa remain eligible for consideration.

-Stanford Africa MBA Fellows must return to work in Africa, within two years of Stanford MBA graduation, to work for a period of at least two years.

-Stanford MBA students pursue a wide variety of careers as alumni: you will be prepared to succeed in organizations of every size and description.

-As a Stanford Africa MBA Fellow, we expect you to contribute the management and leadership skills you learned at Stanford to developing the African economy.

-As such, our expectation is that Stanford Africa MBA Fellows will be committed to African organizations with significant operations and impact in the region.

Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: The students of Africa (Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo-Brazzaville, Congo-Kinshasa, Cote d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Swaziland, São Tomé and Príncipe, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Western Sahara, Zambia, Zimbabwe), can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship Description: The Stanford Africa MBA Fellowship Program pays for tuition and associated fees (approximately US$140,000) for citizens of African countries with financial need who wish to obtain an MBA at Stanford GSB. The Fellowship was created to reduce the financial barrier for African citizens to pursue an MBA at Stanford GSB. Up to eight fellowships will be awarded annually.

Duration of award(s): Stanford MBA Program is of two-year course of study.

What does it cover? At minimum, the Stanford Africa MBA Fellowship covers two years of tuition at the Stanford MBA Program, plus all associated fees. Stanford GSB also contributes to room, board, and other living expenses if you have additional financial need demonstrated in your financial aid application.Please note that citizens of Congo, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Lybia, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen, and Zimbabwe may need to discuss their loan options with the Financial Aid office.The Stanford Africa MBA Fellowship Program pays for tuition and associated fees (approximately US$140,000) for citizens of African countries with financial need who wish to obtain an MBA at Stanford GSB.

Selection Criteria: Student must display the same criteria as all Stanford MBA program applicants: intellectual vitality, demonstrated leadership potential, and personal qualities and contributions.

Notification: If you are selected for the Stanford Africa MBA Fellowship, then we will notify you directly. If you are not selected for the Fellowship, you remain eligible to receive all need-based financial aid at Stanford GSB, in the form of fellowship and loans. If you are selected as a Stanford Africa MBA Fellow, your notification letter will outline your next steps.

How to Apply: The mode of applying is online. Apply for need-based financial aid by the deadline date. After reviewing financial aid applications, Stanford GSB will notify you if you are selected as a Stanford Africa MBA Fellow. Confirm enrollment in Stanford GSB and accept the Stanford Africa MBA Fellowship.

Scholarship Application Deadline: Apply to Stanford MBA Program in either Round 1 (2 October 2013) or Round 2 (8 January 2014).
