The Shell internship and industrial training is an annual programme for undergraduate and postgraduate students. See the different details for corresponding student groups. The Shell graduate internship currently ongoing and application will close on the 31st of May, 2018.
 
Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), Nigeria’s oldest energy company, is recruiting for graduate Interns. The ideal candidate should be a Nigerian, currently enrolled in postgraduate degree in Nigerian universities.



Duration
12 months (non-renewable).

Description
The Postgraduate Research Internship programme is aimed at providing opportunities for talented Nigerians, currently enrolled in postgraduate degree in Nigerian universities, to gain work experience and carry out topical research within SPDC.
Discipline Areas
Environment (Environmental Monitoring, Remediation, and Impact Assessment, Carbon / Energy Management).
Occupational Health (Industrial Hygiene)
Social Performance
Project Management & Strategy Development (Library Science, Marketing and Management)

Stipend of 40, 000 – 50,000 naira (Based on the Venture you are posted to as described above)

How to Apply for Shell internship and industrial training:
Applications from candidates should consist of:

An application letter
A Curriculum Vitae including applicant’s contact phone number, email address, as well as contact information of three referees with their contact information
A titled, 3-page summary of candidate’s postgraduate research programme including: study background, technical objectives, methodology/data required, and expected outcome.
A scanned copy of the data page of applicants International Passport or National Driver’s Licence

Note: Selection will be based on postgraduate programmes/ proposals that are pertinent to SEPCiN business objectives and only students with the highest potential will pass screening.

We wish to inform all Nigerian Students that the Shell Student Industrial Training (IT) & Internship Program is usually ongoing at the beginning of each year and this is a full guideline on how to apply successfully.

Shell Companies in Nigeria’s Student Industrial Training Program offers Nigerian students in Higher Institutions the opportunity to gain work experience in different location. The following are the list of eligible study courses:

Eligible applicants must:

Be enrolled full‐time in a Higher education Institution (University or Polytechnic)
Have authorisation from their school  to participate in the program
How to Apply for

Engineering
Earth Sciences (Geology, Geophysics, Geography)
Sciences
Social Sciences
Medical  Sciences
The program provides hands-on work experience from day one, providing students the opportunity to work directly with inspiring and experienced professionals. The insights and‘ skills gained by the end of the program would be invaluable for future careers.
This Industrial Training Program is designed for students to:
Put theories and concepts into practice
Begin to build work related skills required for the business environment through constructive feedback and supervision
Improve general business/industry understanding
Gain additional skills in areas such as communication, team building, problem solving and analytical reasoning
Build valuable networks and contacts for professional development
Gain insights into career options to support choice of specialised field area to build and develop one’s career
