Passion is energy. It can dissipate. If you’ve ever built fire you know that it has
the tendency to go out. So it is with passion. You must feed and protect it. If you
don’t, you are likely going to lose it.
Here are steps to take to keep your passion intact;
Stay positive: Refuse to accommodate negative thinking patterns or discouraging
thoughts that work against your aim. Chase them out of your consciousness.
Guard Your Mind. Use power confessions that can inspire you will keep you
inspired. Focus your mind on the positive outcomes not the negative ones.
Embrace Learning: Learn and expose yourself to novel ways of doing things in the
area of your passion, even if it makes you feel awkward. Don’t tolerate
complacency. Always challenge yourself to do more and better. Creativity and
innovation injects new spirit. Don’t settle where you have arrived!
See mistakes and failures differently:
Stop identifying with your setbacks. Instead of dwelling on how disappointed you
feel because you made mistakes or didn’t achieve your desire, develop the
mindset that no matter how poor the results may be, you are infinite possibility.
Choose to see your mistakes as a guide. Learn from them, don’t dwell on them.
Create the Environment that feeds your passion:
Every environment is as good as the people in it. Stay in the midst of people that
inspire and energize you towards your goals and aspirations in life. Relationship
nurtures a strength or weakness within you. Don’t feel obligated to relationships
that demotivate you. Your relationship is your responsibility.
Constantly see the Big Picture:
Always remind yourself of why you started. Whenever you feel like giving up
remind yourself why you started in the first place. Futility is merely a feeling.
Conquer it and keep heading toward your goals. Have your eyes fixed on the
reward.
