IV Offshore have a requirement at present for a Rig Operations Superintendent to work onshore based in Nigeria. This position is a long-term contract that will involve managing a combination of jack up, semi-submersible and land rigs and will over an increased day rate/salary for the candidate with the desired profile.
RIG OPERATIONS SUPERINTENDENT
KEY DUTIES:
Responsible for the smooth running of all technical equipment and procedures contracted to the company.
Liaise with the Drilling Supervisor and Superintendent to ensure all contractors are in place and that all work is carried out in accordance to the clients operating and HSE standards.
Conduct initial and final inspections in designated rigs to determine the current status of the project as well as compliance with all standards and procedures outlined by the Client Representative and.
Ensure all rigs are staffed with fully qualified and experienced personnel.
Exercise cost control measures by reviewing contractors, personnel and equipment orders to ensure costs are kept within a pre-established budget.
REQUIREMENTS:
At least 5 years experience as a Rig Operations Manager or Rig Operations Superintendent, with a strong background working offshore in oil and gas.
Previous experience working around one or more offshore projects in Nigeria.
Excellent managerial capabilities, with proven experience managing the operations or one or more rigs.
All mandatory training: IWCF, HSE, First Aid and Fire Fighting training as well as any relevant certificates required to manage rig operations.
Valid Offshore Survival Course and Offshore Health/Medical Certificate.
Good level of verbal and written communication in English.
