Every man has needs; both emotional
and physical. When these needs aren’t
met, men seek to fulfill them however
they can. It may be a need for respect,
affection, happiness, or intimacy that
leads a man to cheat. It could be
something that he never even mentions.
Luckily, not every woman has to worry
about the possibility of cheating in her
relationship. Boyfriends and husbands
stray when they don’t feel fulfilled, so to
keep your man faithful you just have to
keep his emotional needs in mind.
1. Stay Affectionate
Even when a man knows how much you
love him, he still needs to be reminded
every once in a while. Tell him that you
care every day (like you mean it). Make
sure you communicate affection
through your actions as well as your
words. Just don’t let anger or frustration
get the best of you. Relationship stress
can take a serious toll on couples, so you
and your partner may grow distant, but
that shouldn’t stop you from cuddling
and saying “I love you” often. However
challenging life gets, never withhold
affection. Your man could start seeking

2. Respect Him
It’s easy to boss men around or talk to
them like they’re children. After all, quite
a few of them have a serious maturity
problem. To make matters worse, after
men make so many mistakes, women
often feel as if they’ve lost control in
their relationships. That’s when
something absolutely needs to be done.
It’s easy to lose respect and get mean
rather than work to solve the issue.
More often than not, the man already
knows what he’s done wrong, and he
probably feels guilty. That’s no excuse to
treat him like a 4-year-old. When he
messes up big-time, try concentrating
on why you love him.
3. Give Him Space
Every man needs time to enjoy his
hobbies, hang out with friends, and do
his own thing – whatever that may be. If
you’re around your boyfriend or
husband during all of your free time, he
will feel smothered. You might even
annoy him so much that he considers
bailing. Don’t let jealousy or insecurity
get in the way of a successful
relationship. Give the man some time to
himself! This tip is actually a two-for-one
bonus because you’ll have the
opportunity to spend time on yourself
too. If you spent all of your free time
finding love (a.k.a. dating) before your
current relationship, that’s fine, but now
it’s time to find a hobby. You could try
writing, kick-boxing, photography,
traveling, or theater.
4. Keep Him on His Toes
Leave him little notes, sexy messages,
and surprise him every so often. Once
your routine becomes boring, your man
may start looking for “spice” with
another woman. However, if you keep
things interesting at home, he’ll have no
reason to stray. Keep him entertained!
Besides the small things you can do, why
not try new things together? It doesn’t
matter whether you take a dance class,
start a book club, or go skydiving. Just
make sure you both feel alive and happy
together. Even a timeshare meeting
could be an interesting experience at
the right place and time.
5. Challenge Him
Especially when it comes to s*x, if a man
gets whatever he wants, anytime he
wants it, he’ll get bored fast. Men thrive
on the thrill of the chase. When men
finally get something they’ve been after
for a long time, it makes them feel
accomplished. That’s because all their
hard work has finally paid off. To tease
him without actually being a “tease”,
consider your man’s wildest fantasy.
Then fulfill it  but only if you’re OK with it
and only once or twice a year. No matter
how much he begs and pleads, don’t
give in. His dirty thoughts will always be
on you. And even better, you’ll find him
wanting to return the favor.
6. Take Care of Yourself
While dating, people tend to groom
themselves much better than they do
five years into the relationship. It might
because of work, stress, laziness, or
knowing that their partner will love
them no matter how unkempt they look.
Whatever the reason, women often stop
shaving as much, keeping their breath
fresh all the time, doing their hair, and
dressing up like they did at first – and
that’s understandable. It’s a lot of work!
Nonetheless, while you don’t need to
look amazing every day, try to do what
you can whenever you find time. Pretty
hair and smooth legs go a long way. And
looking good will make you feel good
about yourself.
7. Learn About Your Boyfriends Before
You Get Serious
Ask them about their views on
unfaithfulness and see if they have a
history of cheating. If your gut tells you
any man is being dishonest, keep a close
lookout for signs of cheating. Women’s
intuition is nothing to ignore. Some men
just aren’t mature enough to stay
faithful. Certain ones will never be the
loyal type, no matter how long you wait
for them to grow emotionally. You could
be the most beautiful, rich, hilarious
woman to walk the planet, and these
men would still cheat on you. Guard your
heart so you don’t end up offering it to
the wrong guy.

The FRSC Corps Marshal, Mr Osita Chidoka,
on Friday said the agency’s June 30
deadline for all motorists to change over to
new number plates would not change.
The Corps Marshal told newsmen in Uyo,
Akwa Ibom that it would be a criminal
offence for anybody to refuse to change
over to the new number plate after June 30.
Chidoka, who was represented by FRSC’s
Zone F Commander, Mr Nsebong Akpabio,
said it would be punishable by the Federal
Road Safety Act 2007 and the Highway Act
of 1972
“The area we want members of the public
to know is that June 30 is the deadline for
full compliance. We want the media to help
us create awareness,’’ he said.
The Corps Marshal also said it would be
criminal for any person to refuse to give the
complete data on his vehicle.
“It is criminal for any motorist to refuse to
disclose the chassis number of his vehicle,”
he said.
Chidoka, however, expressed satisfaction at
the level of compliance with road safety
measures in the two states of Edo and
Delta, which are in Zone F.
He also said there were 31 selling points
and three centres for the issuance of
driving licences in Akwa Ibom.
“I advise members of the public to make
use of them,’’ the corps marshal said.
Chidoka said the state government had also
made a request for five more centres in the
state.
He warned those going to neighbouring
states to purchase driving licences illegally
and sell to others to desist from the act.
“Anybody caught in the act will be
prosecuted,’’ the FRSC official said.

A construction company, Chinese Civil
Engineering Construction Company on
Saturday ordered the arrest of a journalist
with LEADERSHIP Newspapers, Mr. Kunle
Olasanmi, for demanding the repairs of his
damaged property located in Garam
community, a suburb of Bwari Area Council
of the FCT.
Residents of the area were also dispersed
with Soldiers after staging a peaceful
protest against the insensitivity of the
company since the property were damaged.
The aggrieved residents are those whose
properties were damaged by a twin rock
blast carried out by the company in the
months of January and February while
constructing railway line.
The blast had left many houses shattered
while some suffered serious structural
damages.
Among other journalists whose houses
were shattered by the blasts are Adelanwa
Bamgboye of Daily Trust and Yekeen
Nurudeen of New Telegraph.
Olasanmi was however released after some
hours and is now receiving treatment in an
undisclosed hospital.
The angry residents of the area, numbering
about 50 had mobilised themselves as early
as 6:30am to the construction site where
CCECC workers have been working to
register their protest against what they
described as the insensitivity with which the
company was handling the issue of
compensation.
But they were promptly dispersed with
soldiers who blocked all the entry and exit
points to different sites of the company in
the locality with rocks forcing workers
comprising Nigerians and Chinese to
abandon work for the day.
Some of the company’s trucks that had
arrived sites very early were also prevented
from going in or out.
The first blast took place on January 20
while the second blast was carried out on
February 28.
But one week after taking stock of what
was damaged, residents have been waiting
on the company to fulfill its promises. They
were therefore irked by the commencement
of rainfall which according to them has
since made living in those damaged houses
very uncomfortable.
While the protest lasted, the company’s
Personnel Manager, Davids Oladokun, who
addressed the protesters apologised on
behalf of the company for the damages and
discomfort the blasts have brought to them.
He gave assurance that the company had
already started work on all the stock of
damages taken with the view to give
adequate compensation to the victims.
Oladokun who said he shared in the
predicament of the victims pleaded with
them to exercise patience for the company
to reach out to them on Sunday even as he
advised against violence.
However, not long after the Personnel
Manager’s departure from the scene of
demonstration, a detachment of men of
Nigerian Army attached to the site office of
the company arrived in a Hilux Toyota Van.
The heavily armed soldiers ordered that all
the roads earlier blocked by the protesters
be removed.
They had come to the scene on the
invitation of a Chinese national, who was
earlier denied exit by the protesters.
This led to a argument during which a
digital camera belonging to one of the
protesters, Christian Asogwo was smashed
by one of the security personnel.
Olasanmi was beaten and whisked away by
the soldiers with his shirts torn to shreds
He had bruises all over his body due to the
beating he received from soldiers who came
to disperse the protesters.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 8 (Reuters) - A
Malaysia Airlines flight carrying 227
passengers and 12 crew crashed in the
South China Sea on Saturday, Vietnamese
state media said, quoting a senior naval
official.
The Boeing 777-200ER flight from Kuala
Lumpur to Beijing had been missing for
hours when Vietnam's Tuoi Tre news
quoted Admiral Ngo Van Phat as saying he
had asked boats from an island off south
Vietnam to rush to the crash site.
If the report is confirmed, it would mark the
U.S.-built airliner's deadliest crash since
entering service 19 years ago.
Malaysia Airlines had yet to confirm that the
aircraft had crashed. It said earlier in the day
that no distress signal had been given and
cited early speculation that the plane may
have landed in Nanming in southern China.
Flight MH370, operating a Boeing
777-200ER aircraft, last had contact with air
traffic controllers 120 nautical miles off the
east coast of the Malaysian town of Kota
Bharu, Malaysia Airlines chief executive
Ahmad Jauhari Yahya said in a statement
read to a news conference in Kuala Lumpur.
Malaysia and Vietnam were conducting a
joint search and rescue, he said but gave no
details. China has also sent two maritime
rescue ships to the South China Sea to help
in any rescue, state television said on one of
its microblogs.
"We are extremely worried," Chinese Foreign
Minister Wang Yi told reporters in Beijing
before the Vietnamese report that the plane
had crashed. "The news is very disturbing.
We hope everyone on the plane is safe."
The flight left Kuala Lumpur at 12.21 a.m.
(1621 GMT Friday) but no trace had been
found of the plane hours after it was due to
land in the Chinese capital at 6.30 a.m. (2230
GMT Friday) the same day.
"We deeply regret that we have lost all
contacts with flight MH370," Jauhari said.
Malaysia Airlines said people from at least 14
nationalities were among the 227
passengers - at least 152 Chinese, 38
Malaysians, seven Indonesians, six
Australians, five Indians, four French and
three Americans. Two infants were among
the passengers.
If it is confirmed that the plane has crashed,
the loss would mark the second fatal
accident involving a Boeing 777 in less than
a year and by far the worst since the jet
entered service in 1995.
An Asiana Airlines Boeing 777-200ER crash-
landed in San Francisco in July 2013, killing
three passengers and injuring more than
180.
Boeing said it was aware of reports that the
Malaysia Airlines plane was missing and was
monitoring the situation but had no further
comment. The flight was operating as a
China Southern Airlines codeshare.
An official at the Civil Aviation Authority of
Vietnam (CAAV) said the plane had failed to
check in as scheduled at 1721 GMT while it
was flying over the sea between Malaysia
and Ho Chi Minh city. (Additional reporting

The Special Adviser to the President on
Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, has
defended the posthumous award given to
Abacha during Nigeria’s centenary
celebration last week. And according to
him, the award was not meant to celebrate
moral virtues.
A crosssection of Nigerians had questioned
the government for honouring some
controversial recipients, one of whom was
Abacha. Even Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole
Soyinka, rejected his nomination for the
centenary award, saying he could not share
the award with Abacha, who he described
as a “murderer and thief of no redeeming
quality”.
 Reuben Abati told Saturday PUNCH:
“This (award) does not in any means
translate to supporting sharp practices or
corrupt practices. It is important to make
the clear distinction in this regard. The
centenary award, like every award, has its
own criteria. That centenary award was in
relation to the amalgamation, the national
unity, the history of Nigeria and the roles
played by certain individuals. The centenary
award was not a test of sainthood.
In giving the award to the former Head of
State, Gen. Abacha, the committee in charge
made it very clear that the award in the
category in which the former Head of State
appeared was awarded with regard to the
contributions of those individuals in
keeping Nigeria together. You will find out
that under that category, there were largely
former Heads of State, persons who have at
one time or the other presided over Nigeria
and under whose watch, in spite of
whatever challenges they might have faced,
helped to sustain the unity of the country
and helped to defend the integrity and
sovereignty of the country. That was a
specific criterion in this particular category.
Of course, every award at all, be it for beauty
or any other thing has its own criteria.
Abacha was honoured during the nation’s
centenary award last Friday under the
category of “outstanding promoters of
unity, patriotism and national development.”
The reason given for his nomination was
that “he took over power when the nation
was on the brink of precipice. He mobilised
the nation’s most prominent political class
into his cabinet and succeeded in ensuring
the continued unity of the nation. He also
raised Nigeria’s international standing for
his peace keeping military interventions in
Sierra Leone and Liberia.”

The controversial land grab by the Lagos
State Government taking place in Ibeju-Lekki
had its latest victim yesterday.
Mr. Abacha Awosanya lost a finger when
police arrived in Idotun Community and start
shooting at residents.
The Lagos State Government is trying to
forcefully take over land in Ibeju-Lekki area
for the Free Zone project.
Residents have been resisting efforts unless
they are properly compensated or give a
new place to live.

The open screening for the new Flying
Eagles entered the fifth day on Friday
morning.
Flying Eagles coach, Manu Garba, has picked
12 uninvited players for his next phase of
the training camp, while retaining 17 of the
35 players he called up.
Among the uninvited players are Amos
Benjamin, Raphael Ayagwa, Samson
Obagbemiro, Segun Bankole, Uche Okeke
and Ogunka Adibe.
While among the invited players retained are
AdamuAbubakar, Aremu Afeez, Sulaiman
Abdullahi, Omaila Anthony and Timothy
Danladi. Over 250 prospective players from
all over the country, have so far attended the
Flying Eagles trials.
“This shows how open the screening has
been so far,” said the team’s co-ordinator
Sulaiman Abubakar. “But we are still open to
give a decent chance to any player within
the age bracket to come around and show
us what he is capable of.”
Europe-bound U17 striker, Isaac Success,
was discovered from a similar open
screening exercise supervised by Coach
Manu when he was in charge of the Golden
Eaglets. Manu has said he plans to build a
standing team of players who are locally
based, while eligible foreign-based players
will be injected into the team when the need
arises.
The open screening for the new Flying
Eagles entered the fifth day on Friday
morning at the FIFA Technical centre in
Abuja.

A report reaching us has just described
how Nigerians and other Africans studying
in Malaysia are being treated with no
mercy.
An Anonymous reporter has this to say;
“These students are all legal students
studying here in Malaysia, the annoying
partof it is that when student submit
their passport to emgs (immigration)
for renewal, same emgs still arrest
these students as illegal student. today
a student was shot dead in my school,
this has been going on since this year
started. African students are not safe
here anymore especially we Nigerians,
other African countries flew down
here to see how they can help the
situation but our Nijia embassy is not
even making any sense. please nijia
make una help una people abeg!!”
We hope the Nigerian Embassy in Malaysia
and the Federal Government of Nigeria will
respond to this situation in time.

The Federal Government has concluded
arrangements to impose a two per cent tax
on the values of mobile phones, computers,
software, cameras, photocopiers, printing
machines and CD players manufactured in
the country or imported.
The order for the tax to be known as the
Copyright Levy has already been gazetted by
the office of the Attorney General of the
Federation and the modalities for its
implementation are being negotiated with
the Nigeria Customs Service.
The Director-General, Nigeria Copyright
Commission, Mr. Afam Ezekude, said this at a
press conference on the achievements of
the agency in Abuja on Thursday.
Ezekude, who was represented by the
Deputy Director, Public Affairs, Mr. Aderemi
Adewusi, said the new levy would be on a
broad range of products capable of being
used to infringe on the copyright of
products and services, including computers,
mobile phones and printing machines.
Generally, the levy will apply to such
products whether they are imported into
the country or they are manufactured within
the shores of the nation.
The NCC boss said, “The Copyright Levy on
Materials Order 2012 received the necessary
approval from the Minister of Justice and
Attorney-General of the Federation, Mr.
Mohammed Adoke, SAN.
“The levy order is applicable to all imported
materials used or capable of being used to
infringe copyright in a work, both imported
and manufactured in the country, and it is
designed to compensate the right owners
for the envisaged infringement.
“It is one of the commission’s ways of
generating income for the government,
stakeholders and the commission. This was
done after due consultation with
stakeholders who have expressed
satisfaction and appreciation over the levy
order.”
Ezekude also said the agency destroyed by
public burning, 722 million units of various
copyright infringing products impounded
between 2007 and 2011. The estimated
value of the destroyed products was put at
N6.5bn.
According to him, the value represents
income that would have been diverted from
legitimate rights owners as well as taxable
income and revenue that would have been
lost by the Federal Government.
The disposition of the offending materials,
he added, showed the commission’s
commitment to transparency in the
discharge of its mandate and its
determination to ensure that the offending
products did not get back into circulation.
He also said the commission arrested 351
suspected pirates and secured 46
convictions between 2011 and January
2014 as against the 10 convictions recorded
between 2000 and 2010.
Ezekude said, “For pirates and other
copyright infringers, it is no longer business
as usual. The pressure is being felt in all
major hubs of piracy across all the
geopolitical zones, and the impunity with
which piracy and acts of infringement are
being carried out is being curbed.
“The good enforcement regime is attracting
more investments in the copyright-based
industries. There is an increasingly
favourable perception of Nigeria in the
global fight against piracy. Consequently,
Nigeria has been off the United States’
annually published list of copyright
organisations and governments.”
He said the agency had also embarked on
the reform of the copyright system with the
aim of updating and upgrading the Nigerian
Copyright Act to facilitate new innovations
and models of access to knowledge, and to
encourage and reward new forms of
creativity.
