A Senior Pastor and General Overseer of a church in Zimbabwe, Righteous Revival Ministries, Apostle Tawanda Chikeya, is in serious trouble after he was arrested for raping a 16-year-old member of his church in a parked car, H-Metro reports.
The 30-year-old Apostle Chikeya was arrested along with his younger brother, Tapiwa Chikeya, who is suspected to have lured the girl to his brother and locking the garage door and providing a blanket.

Apostle Chiekya and his brother, according to reports, are detained at Marimba Police Station and the case was reported under RRB 2827385.

The church founder was reported to have threatened the girl that he was a member of the Central Intelligence Organization and the girl said he made false prophecies to her, saying she had to undergo a bad luck spell if she refused to have s*x with him.

"Apostle Chikeya prophesied to me that I was going to meet misfortunes if I did not have prayers constantly with him. He invited me for prayers one of the days and took me to Lake Chivero where he asked to have s*x with me and I refused.

He told me that my virginity belongs to him that if I do not marry him, he foresees me getting married to a foreigner who would bring me bad luck.

After I mentioned his marriage, he said he was not satisfied with his wife since she was not a virgin like me when he married her. On the day in question, Apostle Chikeya asked me to come to his house and I found him with his brother Tapiwa.

Tapiwa locked the door from outside and left the room leaving me with Apostle Chikeya and after inquiring why they locked the door, Apostle Chikeya said we would use another door that leads to the garage.

It is at the garage where Apostle Chikeya **** me in his parked Honda Fit vehicle and he threatened me saying God would punish me if I reported the case to the police.

He went on to say that he is a member of police criminal investigation department and is connected to lawyers if that case was to be brought before the courts of law," the victim narrated to H-Metro.
The girl said she told her friend about the **** and the girl informed her parents, leading to the arrest of Apostle Chikeya.

In a dramatic twist, blogger Linda Ikeji is facing a tax evasion suit.

Reports suggest that the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) slammed her with a staggering N75 million tax bill.

Some of the tax proceeds are thought to be related to the purchase of her N500 million mansion.

Reports say that Linda Ikeji has come out to state that she is not the owner of the Banana Island Mansion she had earlier this year claimed to be hers.

There are reports that the FIRS is preparing to charge her to court on tad evasion charges.

[dl][dt]The Nigerian Army has released a statement refuting claims by some Nigeria Delta militants that the military was planning a coup to take over the Buhari led government. Some Niger Delta militants under the aegis of Joint Niger Delta Liberation Force (JNDLF) yesterday alleged that some officers of the Nigerian Army approached them for support to overthrow our duly elected present democratic government. Read the Nigerian Army statement below...[/dt]

[dd]The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to another campaign of calumny and distraction by faceless criminal gang of economic saboteurs that hide under the aegis of Joint Niger Delta Liberation Force (JNDLF) alleging that some officers of the Nigerian Army approached them for support to overthrow our duly elected present democratic government. This is baseless and most unfortunate allegation that existed in the warped minds of the originators of such weighty allegation.
The Nigerian Army wish to state that this is not true and hereby distanced itself from this weighty allegation. We also see this speculation as a dangerous distraction to our effort in fighting insurgency and other criminal elements in the country. The Nigerian Army would like to send a strong and an unequivocal warning to those speculating a coup by the Nigerian Army (NA) against the Government to desist forthwith. We would like state in clear terms that that we are a product of democracy and a focused professional institution and would have nothing to do with such abomination and heinous crime.
We wish to state further that the NA is the greatest beneficiary of democracy and therefore cannot ever contemplate any anti-democratic misadventure, certainly not under the command of the present Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai. Rather, we see this type of dangerous speculation as a declaration of war to destabilise the present government by these unscrupulous elements. The Nigerian Army is investigating those behind the dangerous insinuation in order to unravel the real motive behind it.
We would like to reiterate our unalloyed loyalty to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and defence of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We would also like to reaffirm our unconditional support and obedience to civil authority. We wish to further assure Nigerians and indeed all peace loving people that the Nigerian Army and indeed its personnel will never be involved in such terrible misadventure. We wish to further add that no matter how long it takes, we would track and find out those behind these insinuations and bring them to justice.[/dd][/dl]

Latest transfer reports in the UK say that Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho will make a surprise bid for  Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey - if he fails to lure Borussia Dortmund star  Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Old Trafford.

It is believed that The Special One is ready to wind up bitter rival Arsene Wenger by targeting the £50million-rated Gunners star.

Although Mkhitaryan remains Mourinho's top summer target, Dortmund are playing hardball over a fee for the attacker. Already United has tabled an improved bid of £28m for the Armenia captain, after an initial offer of £19.3m was rejected.
But boss Mourinho fears Dortmund could refuse over a player who last season bagged 19 goals and  provided 24 assists after the German giant has already lost Ilkay Gundogan to  Manchester City and Mats Hummels to rivals Bayern Munich.
Mkhitaryan only has a year left on his current deal, but could be forced to see out his contract and leave on a free next summer. So Mourinho  is ready to turn his attention to the in-form Ramsey.

With Wenger just spending £30million on Borussia Moenchengladbach playmaker, Granit Xhaka, which leaves  him with plenty midfield options like Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla, Jack Wilshere, Francis Coquelin and  Mohamed Elneny, who are all vying with Ramsey for a midfield role.

President Muhammadu Buhari has described the inability of 27 of the 36 state governments of the federation to pay the salaries of their workers as "a disgrace to Nigeria".

Buhari, while addressing staff of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, expressed concern that in spite of the initial bailout funds made available to some states, their workers had yet to receive their salaries.

"The matter that may shock you is that 27 out of the 36 states couldn't pay salaries.
"This is a disgrace to Nigeria; is a disgrace. Up till now, some of the states cannot pay salaries.
"What happened to all we have been getting all this time? We looked left, right, centre, up and down and said; any saving? There was nothing, because we developed a consumption that we were not supposed to develop."

The president, therefore, advised the states to diversify their sources of revenue generation to boost their financial positions.

He pledged that his administration's ongoing war against corruption would be vigorously sustained, to rid the country of the debilitating effects of "wanton looting" of public funds in past years.

"I have never in my life, from class monitor to here for the second time in different forms, believed in corruption.
"If we make any mistake in what we are doing and compromise our integrity, the country will be further dragged back.
"We will not touch anybody who did not touch public funds. If you behave yourself, you may not have houses in Abuja or in Europe or in America, but you will sleep soundly; your children and families will enjoy respect."

The president reiterated the determination of his administration to stop all forms of fraud in the country.

He said that already, security agencies had been alerted to apprehend those engaging in currency racketeering across the country.

"For those who have plenty of naira and use bankers and others to stamp papers and buy the dollars and take them outside, we will have to do something else because we are alerting all security agencies.
"All fraud must be stopped. If they want to believe us is to see those we have caught red-handed, taking public funds.
"This exercise will continue as long as this leadership is here. Whoever takes anything that does not belong to him and is not entitled to and he is caught, he will be documented and taken before the court."

He assured that he would continue to lead the country with patriotic zeal, integrity, dedication and commitment to improving the living conditions of ordinary Nigerians.

Buhari thanked the State House staff for their service to the nation and urged them to remain patriotic and eschew corruption in the discharge of their duties.

"I'm asking you to re-dedicate yourselves to your country. As I said 30 years ago, we have no other country than Nigeria. We are determined to rehabilitate the country for coming generations.
"The process of change is not easy but with your dedication, we can deal successfully with the issues that currently confront us," he said.

In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary, State House, Malam Jalal Arabi, thanked the president for his concern and support to staff of the presidency.

He said that the State House staff would continue to be loyal to the president and support his administration to achieve its goal of transforming the country.

Political Issues / Strong Message To Those Attacking President Buhari
« on: June 23, 2016, 06:42:32 am »

With the way some PDP men and woman are attacking President Buhari today, for doing what he said he was going to do if elected - fight corruption - you would think they want corruption to continue.

Here's a message to such people from popular Human Rights lawyer, Festus Keyamo:

"Trace the history of those who are very angry now on Twitter, they are either friends, relatives or political associates of the thieves.

It is simple. One can constructively criticise a government on different issues, but to oppose a government for recovering monies belonging to all of us, I don't get it.

I thought that on the aggressive recovery of loot, partisanship would be put aside, and everyone would come together and say thank you to the Federal Government.

A robber robs a neighbourhood. A man pursues him and recovers the loot. You come out and fume at the man for tackling the robber too hard. This is insanity."

The rapper has pulled out on all meet-and-greet packages, some of which included a chance to meet the rapper and get a photo, for his upcoming Summer Sixteen Tour, reports People.

The 29-year-old cancelled the VIP ticket packages, which sold for up to $1000.

People who purchased the VIP tickets have been notified of the change, which was blamed on 'scheduling issues,' and refunds are now in place. We are not sure if it has anything to do with Grimmie's death, who was shot while meeting her fans and signing autographs.

Laura Loretz, 33, and Johnny Benson, of Fort Collins, Colorado, got married at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Monday afternoon. Then, along with their bridal party, they headed to the Horsetooth Reservoir to take some pictures before making their way to their reception.

While the bridal party went to the reception venue, Johnny, 44, stayed behind to get the perfect shot at sunset with his new wife.

As their wedding photographer took pictures of the couple walking hand in hand along a trail, Johnny was bitten on his ankle but after a quick stop at the hospital, they made it to their wedding reception to dance the night away with their guests.

'All of a sudden it was like someone kicked me in the shin,' he told the Denver Post. 'Then I looked over and saw the snake sitting there, and it was rattling.'

A County park ranger soon came to their aid and the groom was taken to Poudre Valley Hospital to be treated for the bite.

Fortunately, it was a 'dry bite' - meaning no venom was injected - so after a tetanus shot, the couple made it to their evening reception.

Laura described the incident as 'pretty epic'.
'It was scary for a minute,' she told the Post. 'Once we got to the emergency room, it was super, super fast.'

The Joint Health Sector Unions has directed its members nationwide, particularly those in federal tertiary health institutions, to proceed on a seven-days warning strike.

The union in a communiqué issued on Wednesday evening by its President, Biobelemoye Josiah, at the end of its meeting with the Federal Government at the Ministry of Labour and Employment, said embarking on the warning strike was to press home their demands.

The communiqué indicated that the strike began on Wednesday at 12:01am.

JOHESU urged its members not to be bothered by the threat that they would be fired. That, it said, was because they were duly employed and all necessary procedures were followed for the strike.

JOHESU said, "Having consulted widely with members nationwide and having shown consistent understanding since February 2015, the leadership of JOHESU hereby directs that all members in Federal Tertiary Health Institutions should proceed on a seven-day warning strike from 12:01am of Wednesday June 22 2016.
"We hereby appeal to the general public to please bear with us and impress it on the Federal Government to meet the demands of the unions to prevent the warning strike from becoming a full blown indefinite strike.

Jokes and Comedy / Day Breaking Joke: Akpos "The Bahd Guy"
« on: June 23, 2016, 06:35:06 am »

Akpos goes to a pharmacy and says to the pharmacist, "Hello, could you give me a condom? I'm going to my girlfriend's place for dinner and I think I may be in with a chance!"

The pharmacist gives him the condom. As he
was going out he turns and says, "Give me another condom, my girlfriend's sister is
very cute too, she always crosses her legs in
a provocative manner when she sees me, I think I may strike luck there too."

The pharmacist gives him a second condom. As he was leaving, he again turns back and says, "Give me one more condom, my girlfriend's mom is still pretty cute. When she sees me, she always makes eye contact and since she invited me for dinner, I think she is expecting me to make a move."

During dinner, Akpos sat with his girlfriend on the left, the sister on his right and the mum facing him. When the girlfriend's Dad walks in, Akpos lowers his head and starts the dinner prayer.
"Dear Lord, bless this dinner and thank you for all you've given us........."

10 minutes after, Akpos was still praying, "Thank you Lord for your kindness."

Another ten minutes goes by and he is still praying, keeping his head down, very close to the table. They all looked at each other surprised, his girlfriend even more shocked than the others. She gets close to him and whispers, "I didn't know you're so religious."

Akpos replies, "I never knew your dad was a
pharmacist!".

Now if you were Akpos, what would you
do to save yourself?

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday ruled that the 774 Local Government Areas(LGAs) across the country have been rendered "impotent" and almost "bastardized," following the massive encroachment into their affairs by the state governors.

Obasanjo said the glaring injustices and overbearing influence of the governors which they hand down routinely to the LGAs are such that they cannot tolerate it should the Federal Government elect treat them the same way.

The ex-President made this known when a 60 - member delegation of the National Union of Local Government Employees(NULGE) visited him at his residence on Presidential Hilltop Estate, Abeokuta.

The delegation led by the NULGE National President, Ibhraheem Khaleel, were in Obasanjo's home on Wednesday to solicit support towards freeing the LGAs from the alleged asphyxiating grip of the nation's 36 state governors.

The NULGE had through Khaleel, complained to the ex-President that the governors without exception, " have completely rendered the Local Governments impotent and battered it through massive encroachment, diversion of funds and non implementation of rules establishing them(LGAs)."
But Obasanjo who listened to them, said he is helpless about their plights, noting that when the LGA was reformed in 1976, by the then military government which he was a part, it gave LGAs  "functions, responsibilities and duties" to peform.

He said it is saddening now to observe that state governors' interferance has completely eroded the "sanctity and constitutionality" of the establishing LGAs.

Obasanjo, however, said Nigerians should keep talking to the members of the National and states Assemblies as well as other stakeholders towards finding a way to  make the LGAs trully functional and democratic as envisioned by founding fathers.

He said: "coming to me or me saying something is not the answer. I'm like a cripple. I have no executive power. I have no legislative power,  but you are not crippled and you can show them that you are on ground. Local Government should be allowed to carry out its function.
"But I wonder, if the states can allow what they are doing to the Local Governments  to be done to them by the Federal Government.
"Sadly, very very sadly, the autonomy of the Local Governments almost without any exception, have been bastardized and encroached by the States.
"Both are suppose to be  tiers of government with each having its roles and functions. But, that is not the case.
We shall continue to talk until those who reasonable among change this attitude."

The Federal Government has lined up 15 witnesses as it is set to open its case against Senate President, Bukola Saraki and the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.

Both men have been charged to court alongside the Clerk and Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly, Salissu Maikasuwa and Benedict Efeturi for allegedly forging the Senate Standing Rules 2015.

In the court summons pasted on the Notice Board of the National Assembly on Tuesday, about 15 witnesses were listed by the Federal Government to testify against the defendants.

Among the witnesses are Senator Solomon Ewuga, Senator Ita Enang, Senator Ajayi Borrofice, Senator Kabiru Marafa, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Senator Abu Ibrahim, Senator Ahmad Lawan and David Igbodo, an Assistant Superintendent of Police.

The Senate has condemned the Federal Government for the charges and has said it is simply a ploy by the government to attempt to change the Senate leadership.
