Facebook-owned messaging app - Whatsapp - is finally taking actions on all unofficial versions of the app. Whatsapp has announced to temporarily ban all accounts using third-party versions of the app like GbWhatsapp, Whatsapp Plus, Yo Whatsapp and OGWhatsapp.

According to Whatsapp, they disclosed that the use of these apps violates its terms of service. Thereby, users should expect in-app messages informing them they’ve been “temporarily banned.”

The ban can be lifted when they uninstall the third-party app, install the original Whatsapp and sign in back to their account. The company also added that they do not support these third-party apps because they can’t validate their security practices.

Whatsapp has also advised users to backup their chats and Whatsapp has provided detailed explanation for GBWhatsapp and Whatsapp Plus users on how to go about it.

We all know GbWhatsapp and Whatsapp Plus are the most popular third-party apps for Whatsapp that offers some additional Whatsapp features that improve the user experience.

These apps has more features and easily customizable than the original version of Whatsapp. Be that as it may, we ain't sure if Whatsapp has started banning users of these third-party apps. But when they start, a huge number of people will be banned.

It seems we’ve reached the point where you have no option but to agree Glo is the Grandmaster of internet plans. Even now, no any telecommunications in Nigeria who is offering the cheapest data bundle like Globacom.

After bagging the best innovative brand of the year award, Glo has silently unveiled a special data plan which offers 1.2GB for just N200. The data plan works for both New and Old Sim on Glo, but the plan came with just 3 days validity.

To Subscribe to Glo Special Data 1.2GB for N200 or 6GB for N1000
✓ Recharge your Glo line with N200 airtime
✓ Dial *777# and Select 1
✓ Select 1 again and chose 5 (Special data offer)
✓ Press 2 for Glo Special Data and you are good to go

You can dial *127*0# to view your data balance.

In other words, you can get 6GB of data for just N1000 on the Glo network to last you for 15 days and 12GB for N2000 to last you for 30days. What you need is to do this every 3 days for N200, adding it up in a month, making N2,000 for 12GB, you can accumulate as many times as you wish but no auto renewal like the normal data plan. If you are a heavy internet user, then this plan is the best for you.

If the Glo network is good in your locality and you have better things to do with the data bundle, like watching live matches or movies, heavy downloading, upgrading/updating the system and Smartphones. This plan is good for you.

No dulling guys, Globacom have upgraded their network equipment with new and higher capacity. To this extent, Glo Network is now rocking in most locations… don’t miss out!

The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Education, Mrs. Olubunmi Adekanye, speaking at the 2019 Commonwealth Day celebration on Monday, said the pupils should not hesitate to dial *6820# to report carnal abuse against them or others.

She said that the helpline had just been launched and calls will be taken very seriously when recieved, and will be thoroughly scrutinized. Hence, she warned the pupil not to call it for fun.

The theme for the 2019 Commonwealth Day was “A connected Commonwealth” and pupils from the six education districts of the state competed through various performing art forms (drama, dance, poetry, choral, and fashion parade) for laurels at the event.

Pupils of Oke Odo Senior High School, Ile-Epo, in Education District One were awarded the overall prize for their drama which portrayed how the countries in the commonwealth were disconnected because of lack of respect of each other’s culture, languages, or racism.

Education District Four came in second place with their Atilogu Dance, which featured a brief parade of other countries while Education District Three was came third with their colourful fashion parade of the national attires of the various countries that make up the commonwealth.

Director, Co-curricular Services, Mrs Marion Babs-Akineyeye, said the Commonwealth Day competition was an avenue for the ministry to nurture various talents in the young ones.

Siyacela Dlamuka, the 16-year-old son of a bishop has wedded his 15-year-old girlfriend traditionally on Saturday, March 9, 2019, in Nkandla, KZN, South Africa and they are set to have a church wedding next month on April 13.

His father, Mthandeni Dlamika, 59, a bishop of the Corinthians Apostolic Church in Zion, said he fully supports the underage marriage. He said, "these days, you find teenagers engaging in carnal activities secretly and most of the time, they end up falling pregnant out of wedlock."

When his son told him he had fallen in love, Siyacela’s father took it upon himself to pay for dowry and other expenses so Siyacela could focus on school. He added; "The only rule I made is that they wait until they’re officially married before engaging in sexual activities."

Keshinro Ololade, aka Lil Kesh, has replied critics who think his music career is taking a nosedive.

The singer, in a chat with Sunday Scoop, stated that he didn’t plan to do many things as a musician last year. He said, “I didn’t hold a solo concert last year because I feel there is time for everything.

To be honest, I didn’t have a lot of plans for last year. It wasn’t like I planned to do many things and couldn’t achieve them. I didn’t intend to have many concerts or shoot a lot of musical videos.”
According to him, he was able to achieve the few things he set out to do, and that made him happy. He said, “Last year, I wasn’t just a musician.

I was also a businessman and I tried to put a lot of things in place. Although my energy was divided, I was happy that I was able to do other things apart from music.”

Kesh also said he knew from the outset that the song, Able God, by Chinko Ekun, on which he was featured, would be a hit. He said, “The moment I heard the song, I knew it was a very good one that would be widely accepted because people love songs that give them hope. I am not sure everyone (involved in the recording) knew it would be this big though. We had the song with us for more than a month before releasing it.”

On his plans for 2019, he stated that he would be working more outside the country. “I will start my tour soon and I will be in Europe for a month. After that, I still have plans for more tours. I also intend to drop a body of work this year but it all depends on my fans’ demands,” he said.

Those who used the MTN Sm@rt S620 or Sm@rt S720i to enjoy Glo Bis subscription can never forget those phones. MTN Sm@rt S620 and Sm@rt S720i are the MTN first Android Smartphone which was released sometime in 2014.

You will recall, In November 2018, I made a post about MTN, which was planning to release another 3G feature smartphone in Africa with affordable price. If you want to know more, here’s the link to the post.

Now, MTN has launched that 3G Smart Feature phone and the device was accompanied with free 500MB data every month for the good 6 months. The phone has been designed with you in mind, providing a compact, high-quality device while keeping the cost lower for a smartphone.

In actual sense, is the 500MB data free? I don’t think so, this is because, in order to get the 500MB data, you need to purchase MTN Smart Feature Phone worth N8,000. Here’s what MTN has to say;

Just as the features of the phone were published earlier, the MTN Smart Feature Phone runs on KaiOS and has at the minimum the following apps: WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google Maps, MyMTNApp, FM Radio, Google Assistant, etc.

It offers Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity and includes other smart services. The phone has two basic cameras, dual-Sim support, and a 2000mAh battery. It is powered by the SC7731EF processor, has a 2.4-inch screen, 256MB RAM and 512MB of storage.

How to Get Free MTN 500MB Data On MTN Smart Feature Phone
You have to walk into any MTN office nearest to you and buy the MTN Smart Feature phone which cost N8,000. After inserting an MTN SIM into the phone, your line will be activated for the free 500MB data per month for 6 months.

No dulling guys, you can benefit from the offer without purchasing the phone. Simply look for it's IMEI and tweak it on our phone.

MTN in recent times has been releasing new offers to further increase its customer base and also to ensure better customer satisfaction. A few weeks back, MTN introduced cheap data plans which can only be purchased via MyMTN App.

The latest MTN offer now is a Free 4G Mi-Fi Device for anyone who purchases at least 100GB data bundle worth N30,000 and above at any MTN store. The free Mi-Fi is only available on the first purchase of the data plan.

Taking a good look at this particular offer might be worth it. This is for the fact that if you own a company that makes use of large amounts of data, it should play a vital role in helping you and your company save some money on purchasing data.

Getting 100GB at N30,000 is actually the cheapest of the three offers that MTN has for you. In actual sense, there are three Mi-Fi bundles that MTN has to offer you, the bundles are;

100GB
N30,000
60 Days
Text"138" to 131
120GB*
N50,000
90 Days
Text"133" to 131
150GB
N75,000
90 Days
Text"134" to 131
NB: *120GB is an upgrade of 85GB data plan and price remains the same. Also, note that bundle will be activated on the line used for purchase.

Quote

The proposition offers customers a free 4G MiFi upon purchase of any data bundle worth N30,000 and above at any MTN store. Howe ever, customers can still purchase the bundle via all other channels, but will not get the free MiFi.
What this implies is, when you purchase any data worth N30,000 or more from any MTN office, you will be given a free 4G Mifi. But if you purchase the data through USSD code, you won't get the free 4G Mifi.

If you are interested in getting the MTN free 4G Mi-Fi, purchase at least 100GB data bundle worth N30,000 from any of the following MTN stores:
