In fact he never spoke anything except what had been inspired by Alláh. The Holy Qur’án says: He (the Prophet) does not speak out of his own desire, it is nothing but a revelation revealed. (an-Najm, 53:3,4) ii) From Behind a Curtain: This means that the revelation comes indirectly. These can be low, buzzing or high-pitched sounds which are understood by a Prophet. During his Mi’ráj, the Holy Prophet (S) reached a place where no prophet or angel had ever been. Here he saw a curtain of light, and then heard a voice from it. The Holy Qur’án says:Then he drew near, and nearer, (Until he) was at a distance of two bows, or nearer still, Then He revealed to His servant what He revealed. (an-Najm, 53:8-10) iii)Alláh usually used Jibríl (A) to send His commands to the Prophets (A). Sometimes Jibríl (A) would come in his own image, sometimes he would come as a man. Most of the messages sent through the angels were verbal, but occasionally, as with the Torah, the message was written. They killed Nafata, took over his government and declared an Islamic State; -This encouraged the Fulani scholars to rise against other Hausa rulers; -It became common practice for a Fulani scholar to travel to dan Fodio to obtain flag after which he returned to his state to declare a jihad and deposed the Hausa ruler; -Within a short period, Islamic states were established all over Hausaland and the jihad leaders replaced Hausa rulers; -Hausa states became known as Emirates and the Fulani rulers as Emirs; -Dan Fodio built Sokoto as his new capital and seat of the caliphate. The Emirs recognized him; -Fodio became the sultan and Amin-al-mumini and each of the Emirs went to Sokoto to swear allegiance to him. َ

In ancient Persia, there was a king by the name of Bagadata. The king was getting old, and the lack of an heir, worried him a lot. He consulted with the queen and his ministers, and decided to appoint an honest child as the prince. For this purpose, he decided to test who is the most honest of them all. He proclaimed, ‘I will distribute seeds to all the children in the kingdom. The child, who grows the biggest plant within three months, will become prince or princess.’ Cyrus, a poor farmer’s son, was among those children who took the seed from the king. He planted it in a pot with great care and watered it regularly. In spite of this, the plant did not appear. He tried changing the soil, tried putting the plant in a different pot, but nothing worked. At last the day came when all the children had to go to king to show him the plant they had grown. They started walking to the palace, dressed in their best, holding beautiful plants in their hands. Only Cyrus stood sadly, watching them go by. His father had watched him working hard with the seed and felt sorry for him. ‘Why don’t you go to the king with the empty pot?’he suggested. ‘At least he will know you tried your best.’ So Cyrus joined the others outside the palace, holding his empty pot in his hand. Tears rolled down his cheeks hearing the laughter around him. Soon the king arrived and began his inspection. The pots held flowers of different shades, looked beautiful and healthy, but the king did not look happy. At the end of the line stood Cyrus, and when the king reached him, he stopped in surprise. ‘Child, why have you come with an empty pot? Could you not grow anything?’ Cyrus looked down and said, ‘Forgive me, Your Highness. I tried my best, I gave it the best soil, watered it regularly, but the plant would not grow. I assure you, I tried my best.’ The king smiled at him and enveloped his arms around him. He announced, ‘Here is the crown prince! I had given everyone roasted seeds, which would never grow, just to see which child was the most honest one and would admit that he or she had not been able to grow anything. Only this boy told the truth, I am sure he will rule this kingdom one day with truth and honesty.’ Indeed that was what happened. Cyrus stayed with the king and learnt how to rule. Few years later when the king died, Cyrus came to the throne and ruled Persia justly for many years. He got the reward for being honest.

Another good character of Mary Dalton in the novel is her sense of hospitality; she tries to treat Bigger as a human being, but little does she know that Bigger might be surprised and confused by such unpreccedented treatment from the wealthy white daughter who happens to be his employer.As an anti-racist, Mary thinks that Bigger will embrace her friendship because to her, Bigger simply represents a political course she is fighting to achieve, that is bringing racism to an end in the blacks dominated Chicago.Through her friendly disposition, Mary portrays a lifestyle filled with humility, tolerance and high rate of submissiveness which is in sharp contrast with her father's racial sentiments. She swallows her personal qualities,thoughts and background only to befriend Bigger because he is black, which is a social taboo to other whites racial champions. In addition, Mary treats and cares for Bigger with thoughtless racism unlike the overt hypocrisy of her parents.Despite all her good thoughts and feelings for Bigger, she is tragically murdered by the same person she cares for(Bigger).To sum it up, Mary in her simple life, represents a new breed of America whose mission is terminated by a racial victim No 3) i)THEME OF LONELINESS AND WIDOWHOOD This is the most dominant theme of the novel in which Bayo uses Yaremi and other widows to paint the pictures of loneliness and adverse conditions associated with widowhood.The sudden exit of Ajumobi leaves Yaremi in outer loneliness.As a widow, Yaremi is faced with both domestic and societal challenges.She talks and walks alone unlike when her bosom companion is alive who always cherishes and plays with Yaremi.With the marriage of Yaremi's two daughters and long stay of her only son in the city of Ibadan, her state of loneliness is worsen.She has neither children nor husband to share her feelings with both in the day or in the night. The presence of Woye in Yaremi's house partially breaks her moments of solitude, yet she is psychologically lonely in that most of her ideas die inside her without second thought from anyone.Apart from Yaremi, Dedewe, Fayoyin and Radeke share their unique experiences of widowhood respectively.As widows,they are dehumarized above the permission of good conscience.Also, they are lured and forced into second marriage as legalized by the widows' traditional injunction of Kufi Land.When Yaremi defies the cap-taking ritual; she is totally rejected by everyone;both men and women avoid her "like a leper".Judging from what has befallen Yaremi, she has come to "a most painful continuation of her realization that it is going to be a lonely days". ii)THEME OF TRADITIONALISM AND SPIRUTUALISM The theory of traditionalism is a belief that customs and traditions are more important for a society than modern ideas while spiritualism emphasizes a kind of belief that people who have died can send message to living people, usually through a medium.These two beliefs are well prominent in the novel.Yaremi being a women of neccessity is tied with these ideologies, thereby, she is being forced by tradition to go for a second marriage without options of choice and self determination.By the reason of traditional bottleneck,Lanwa is to inherit Yaremi as a second wife reasoning from the fact that he is Ajumobi's half brother. More so, the novel unveils the belief of spiritualism in the relationship of Ajumobi and Yaremi after his death.There are evidences in the novel where Ajumobi is conversing with Yaremi in dreams.The appearance of Ajumobi in many places in the novel shows the faith of the village in spiritualism.In addition, Kufi people are habituated to celebrating their ancestral gods and reverencing them.Thus, however, typifies spiritualism. iii)THEME OF VICTIMIZATION AND INHUMANITY It is not an over statement to say that widows in Kufi village are inside the hot pot of victimization.Conse quent upon the death of their husbands,their simple lives are torn apart.They live under the mercy of their husbands' relatives and inhuman tradition that is bent on molesting women, especially the widows.None of the widow in the novel goes scot-free from their male-superiors.Dedewi for instance gushes out blood amidst over-heated torture.Yaremi herself is emblematic of human abuse and supression.Her resistance to second marriage is the reason behind her excommunication and abuse of her fundamental human rights.She is not only ostracized but her belongings are confiscated by the village.It is expected that everybody must frown at inhumanity and victimization of the helpless ones around rather we must embrace one another in love and also defend the weaklings in our midst No 6) The Castle of Otranto tells the story of Manfred, lord of the castle, and his family. The book begins on the wedding-day of his sickly son Conrad and princess Isabella. Shortly before the wedding, however, Conrad is crushed to death by a gigantic helmet that falls on him from above. This inexplicable event is particularly ominous in light of an ancient prophecy "[T]hat the castle and lordship of Otranto should pass from the present family, whenever the real owner should be grown too large to inhabit it". Manfred, terrified that Conrad's death signals the beginning of the end for his line, resolves to avert destruction by marrying Isabella himself while divorcing his current wife Hippolita, who he feels has failed to bear him a proper heir. However, as Manfred attempts to marry Isabella, she escapes to a church with the aid of a peasant named Theodore. Manfred orders Theodore's death while talking to the friar Jerome, who ensured Isabella's safety in the church. When Theodore removes his shirt to be killed, Jerome recognises a marking below his shoulder and identifies Theodore as his own son. Jerome begs for his son's life, but Manfred says Jerome must either give up the princess or his son's life. They are interrupted by a trumpet and the entrance of knights from another kingdom who want to deliver Isabella. This leads the knights and Manfred to race to find Isabella. Theodore, having been locked in a tower by Manfred, is freed by Manfred's daughter Matilda. He races to the underground church and finds Isabella. He hides her in a cave and blocks it to protect her from Manfred and ends up fighting one of the mysterious knights. Theodore badly wounds the knight, who turns out to be Isabella's father, Frederic. With that, they all go up to the castle to work things out. Frederic falls in love with Matilda and he and Manfred begin to make a deal about marrying each other's daughters. Manfred, suspecting that Isabella is meeting Theodore in a tryst in the church, takes a knife into the church, where Matilda is meeting Theodore. Thinking his own daughter is Isabella, he stabs her. Theodore is then revealed to be the true prince of Otranto and Matilda dies, leaving Manfred to repent. Theodore becomes king and eventually marries Isabella because she is the only one who can und
