Post by: smith95 on July 11, 2018, 06:13:16 am
Incognito mode set to hit the YouTube app in the next few weeks. We are all used to seeing this feature on only browsers, but YouTube is saying it's possible to get that same feature to the platform.

With YouTube incognito mode, your activities, watch history and subscriptions will all be hidden, just like the incognito mode on browsers.

When available, you can activate the feature by going to Settings > History & privacy and toggling on the option. You can still access the option when you tap your account avatar located in the top right of the app. Currently, you will see "Switch account and Sign out" as two different options, but they may soon be put together into one, while replacing the space with Incognito option.

When you are in incognito mode, you will see your profile avatar being replaced with an incognito icon. And if you are inactive for a period of time, the incognito mode will be automatically closed.

After which you'll  be back to using your own account.

This feature has started rolling out globally, and it's already live on Android. Kindly head over to Playstore to update your YouTube app.
