EKSU Offers Special Certificate Bonus for Graduands

Two important dignitaries are to be honoured during this year’s 21ST Convocation Ceremony of Ekiti State University. Those to be conferred with honorary degrees include a telecommunication mogul, Mr. Gbenga Oyebode, and the Governor of Bayelsa State His Excellency Henry Seriake Dickson. Asides from the two dignitaries, the Chancellor of the University His Royal Majesty Oba Adegoke Adeyemi, the Alara of Aramoko Ekiti will be conferred with a honorary degree.

Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Samuel Oye Bandele has declared that all those graduating students of the university would take their certificates on the Convocation day at the rate of N10,000 instead of the current N25,000.

Announcing this at a special briefing, the Vice Chancellor said it was to honour the students and to serve as bonus for them for attending the Convocation. Award of degrees for first degrees will take place on Friday, 24th of June while the award of higher degrees and conferment of honourary degrees will take place on Saturday, 25th of June, 2016.
