Asuu strike latest news: The latest report reaching us is that ASUU Strike might be called off next week after the meeting that took place on the 26th of July with the Federal Government.
From the report- The ongoing strike action by Academic Staff Union of University, (ASUU) may likely be called off next week, as a result of recent negotiation with the FG on some outstanding issues.
With the inauguration of Governor Gabriel Suswam of Benue state as the chairman of the implementation committee of needs assessment reports to Nigerian universities, hope has been found as he will act as the mediator between Federal Government and ASUU.
Also from the report- ASUU has made agreements with most of the matters on desk, except for earned allowances and universities funding for infrastructural developments.
The federal government said they will look into the two issues and hopefully resolve them by next week: Another Asuu vs F.G meeting has been scheduled to hold on Monday 29th of July, 2013.
