The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Muhammad Yahuza Bello disclosed this in his address at the 34th Malam Aminu Kano Annual Memorial Symposium organized by the Centre for Democratic Research and Training.
Professor Bello said the courses are to be coordinated by the Centre for Democratic Research and Training Mambayya House.
He explained that the courses were designed to improve the capacity and skills of the Nigerian political actors, public office holders, election managers, political party executives among other stakeholders.
The Vice Chancellor however, said for the programme to be executed effectively, the existing structures and facilities at the centre needed to be upgraded and modernized to meet international standard.
He said: “To this effect, a remodeled design of ultramodern edifice has been produced for the centre and is waiting for execution whenever the funds are available.”
Professor Bello therefore, appealed to the northern governors to come to the aid of the centre by funding the remodeled project of the centre as part of their contributions to uphold the legacies of the late revered politician.
He assured that the management of the university would continue to initiate programmes aimed at promoting the legacies of late Malam Aminu Kano.
