SDIL’s client a major player in the Infrastructure Investment field and pioneering new methods to deliver infrastructure in lagos is recruiting a Chief Financial Officer to join an infra fund manager with investment interests across Nigeria.
The Fund manager (based in Nigeria) is currently managing millions of dollars(Naira denominated) Fund and is in the process of investing capital across a variety of infra sub sector.We are looking for an experienced CFO to join our team to support the accelerating investment deployment of our capital, reporting directly to the CEO and CIO.

Basic Function: The chief financial officer position is accountable for the administrative, and financial operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Definition/Planning/Performance Management:
Participate in the design of strategy across various high-value projects and investments within the fund
Evaluate and manage the capital structure throughout the life cycle of investment
Develop and implement treasury management and financial evaluation
Be a key member of the executive leadership and participate in strategy formulation, development, and execution across the business
Develop performance measures and monitoring systems that support the company's strategic direction
Operations
Gets deeply involved with the various investee companies to solve operational bottlenecks and to drive change
Ensure timely financial reporting to all stakeholders and appoint and monitor advisors where applicable for the same.
Manage the accounting, human resources, investor relations, legal, tax, and treasury departments
Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary /Investee companies and foreign operations
Financial Information
Oversee the issuance of financial information
Personally review and approve all financial reports and other periodic reports filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission
Report financial results to the board of directors
Risk Management
Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile
Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
Report risk issues to the audit committee of the board of directors
Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations
Funding
Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts
Arrange for debt financing and equity financing
Invest ideal funds
Job requirements
Undergraduate degree, preferably Finance/accounting or engineering
Master’s degree, Finance or MBA from a top rated Institute in Europe or USA and CFA chartered (an advantage ) .
At least 10 years minimum of financial analysis and management experience
At least 5 years of experience in asset management in a senior financial role, preferably in West Africa
Knowledge of the energy, infrastructure industries preferred
Strong management and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively communicate – both written and orally – with different stakeholders
Expert command of all MS Office applications, Sage, document management and ERP applications
Creative, flexible and entrepreneurial mindset that self-starts and shapes ideas/projects
Excellent time and process management
Excellent communication skills – both written and oral – in the English language; other languages (French, local African languages) are a plus
Salary range :N14,000,000- N17,000,000 yearly based on qualification and wealth of experience.
