2013 WAEC WASSCE Mathematics/Maths Objectives OBJ, Theory & Essay, Real Questions & Answers

MATHEMATICS:

(1a)
(27/8)+(13/8)=(40/8) ,
3/4*5/1=15/4,
17/8-3/2=5/8,
(15/4)/(5/8)=15/4*8/5 =6

(1b.) log 1.125=log 1125/1000 =log9/8,
log10 rtp 9/8=log10rtp9-log10rtp8=log10rtp3rtp2-log10rtp2rtp3 ,
2log10rtp3-3log10rtp2 =2*04771 -3*0.3010=0.0512.

PLS NOTE THAT rtp means Raise to Power.
And * means multiply.

(2a)
7x+4< 1/2(4x+3)
=(7x+4)/1 < (4x+ 3)/2
=2(7x+4) < (4x+3)
= 14x+8 < 4x+3
=14x-4x < 3-8
=10x/10 < -5/10
=x< -1/2
= x>-1/2

(2b)

sectors=x +x=2x,
3(2x)=6x,
2x+6x=360,
8x=360,
x=360/8=45.,
3rd <=6*45=270,
lenght of arc=(270)/(360)*2*22/7*7=(83160)/(2520)=33.,
lenght=33cm,
perimetre=7cm+7cm+33cm=47cm

using sohcahtoa
cos x=4.63/8.31
x=cos^-1(0.5571)
x=54.75 degree.
